Craig Gentry

Geologist Consultant

A certified petroleum geologist and member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), Mr. Gentry earned a bachelor of science in geology from the University of Oklahoma in 1977. He then worked as an oil and gas exploration geologist for Enserch Corporation (1977-1979) and Sun Corporation (1979-1980). He became an independent geologist consultant in 1980 and founded his own business, Gentry Petroleum Corporation, in 1982.

With 32 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Gentry has been involved in the successful drilling of hundreds of wells. Over the last 15 years, he has contributed to the promotion and participation of seismic acquisition and geological evaluation in various large 3-D programs throughout South Texas. Since 2006, he has focused primarily on the consulting side of the industry.
